How to reach the chalet?

The chalet is located in Moléson-sur-Gruyères, a small village in the mountains. A private bus will depart from the university on Monday at 15:30 and bring all participants to the chalet, which is a 35 minutes drive.

The return will be on Friday at 10:00. We strongly encourage participants to be there for the private shuttle. Otherwise, it is possible to reach the chalet with public transport (1h10, 2 changes) to Moléson-sur-Gruyères.

From Monday to Friday, participants and lecturers are housed in the chalet. Toilets and showers are available on each floor outside of the rooms. In each room, there are at least one washbasin and one or several tables and chairs.

Bed linen will be provided. Participants will have to bring their own towel. A military blanket is provided. If the participants prefer, they may bring their own sleeping bags.

Room sharing

Participants should be aware that they will have to share their room with at least one person and up to 4 people in a room with 16 beds. The rooms are spacious enough for each participant to have their own space.

If a participant does not wish to share a room, they can book a room in another establishment in the area (e.g. hotels or Airbnb) at their own expense. However, there will be no reduction of the registration fees.

On Monday and Friday, we will eat at the university restaurant. On Tuesday lunchtime, we will eat in the restaurant of the cheese factory next to the chalet, on Wednesday in Gruyère, and on Thursday on the top of the Moléson mountain if the weather allows.

In all cases, we will propose to the participants a pre-selected list of dishes. Vegetarian options will be provided, as well as water and coffee. Participants are free to have another dish and/or add other drinks at their own expense. Dinner will be in a restaurant next to the chalet.
